About the Business
Dry lining, sometimes known as drywall, is the application of plasterboard to internal surfaces. The method has proven popular in recent years due to its quick and relatively clean application in comparison to two coat plaster systems. In addition, dry lining partitions allow for greater use of insulating materials to keep the property warm. Carried out prior to decorating, plastering is the process of smoothing surfaces and preparing them for decorating.
Moreover, it adds strength to the wall and helps seal together building materials. Screeding is the levelling of the surface to ensure the plaster is at the same height. Skimming is a plastering layer of thin coat which is applied to an existing plaster to upgrade a surface, often where the plaster is slightly uneven or broken. Render is applied to the external walls of properties as a smooth or textured surface, which can then be decorated on.
